The COTOG Lecture Series is a dedicated platform aimed at enhancing the business and leadership capabilities of veterinarians.
Thank you for joining the first series titled: Building a strong veterinary brand that engenders a positive reputation. It addressed ideas that will help veterinarians create the mindset for better identity, promote trust, and also communicate the values and quality of care offered. This mindset will help them attract clients, differentiate services, and build a positive reputation for the practice.
The Director, Dr. Abubakar Bala Mohammed Lifestock Management Services, had the opportunity to moderate the panel discussion hosted by Sahel Consulting Ltd on Limitations to sustainable animal health care delivery at the last mile.
The session discussion was focused on understanding the bottlenecks that limit the availability and affordability of animal health services and recommend sustainable solutions. The session also talked about the impact of existing animal health policies and programs.
Exploring the impact of current animal health policies and programs, the discussion highlighted the importance of addressing bottlenecks to ensure effective and accessible healthcare for animals.
As we move forward, it is crucial to implement practical strategies and collaborate across sectors to overcome these limitations and promote a more sustainable and inclusive approach to animal health care delivery. The exchange of ideas during this session serves as a stepping stone towards fostering positive change in the realm of animal health management.
The Director – Lifestock Management Services was one of the 13 Nigerians selected to discuss the instability in the sub region and non-kinetic proposal to end insecurity in Nigeria by the visiting US-AFRICOM Commander, Gen Michael Langley at the US Embassy Abuja, Nigeria.
Gen Langley is one of the three 4 star Generals in history of US Marines and is currently based in Stuttgart, Germany.
While discussing my thoughts on Farmer-herder clashes as remote and immediate causes of insurgency at the meeting, we X-rayed issues of climate change, urbanization, inequality and poor governance as issues responsible for instability in our region.
Gen Langley shared his leadership philosophy as “ always empowering the team for a star Championship “ He encouraged participants to join forces with US mission to bolster support in dealing with instability. Gen Langley recommended the concept of Mentoring one another in dealing with instability
